Product Overview:
The toxicity of Cr is related to its existence valence. Generally, the toxicity of the Cr6+ is 100 times higher than the toxicity of the Cr3+. The Cr6+ is easier for the body to absorb and accumulate in the body, leading to liver cancer. So, Cr6+ is one of the indicators for the implementation of total quantity control.
This monitoring device can automatic continuous work for long-term in an unattended manner. And it is widely used in industrial pollution discharge wastewater, industrial process wastewater, industrial wastewater treatment plants, municipal wastewater treatment plants and so on. Depending on the complexity at the scene, for ensure reliable and accurate testing, can choose different pre-treatment system.
Product Principle:
This product uses DPCI (diphenylcarbazide) spectrophotometry colorimetric method. After mixing the water and the regulator, the Cr6+ and the indicator react to a colored complex, in the acidic environment and the presence of the indicator. The monitoring device detect the change of color, convert and output the Cr6+ value. The amount of the generated colored complex is equivalent to the amount of the Cr6+.
This method is suitable for the waste water, containing of Cr6+ within 0~30mg/L.
After pretreatment and adjusting the measurement process settings, this method can measure total Cr.
