Product Overview:
The NH3-N in the water refers to free NH3. The NH3 mainly comes from the decomposition products of organic nitrogen compounds wastewater by microbial action, industrial wastewater containing coking ammonia and farmland drainage. The water with high content of NH3-N shows toxic effects on fish and has different degrees of harm on human beings. Determination of NH3-N content in water helps to evaluate the status of pollution and self-purification. So NH3-N is an important indicator of water pollution.
This analyzer can automatic continuous work for long-term in an unattended manner. And it is widely used in industrial pollution discharge wastewater, municipal wastewater treatment plants, surface water and so on. Depending on the complexity at the scene, for ensure reliable and accurate testing, can choose different pre-treatment system.
Product Principle:
This product use salicylic acid colorimetric method. When mixing water and masking agent, the free NH3 or NH4+, salicylic acid ion and CLO- react to a colored complex, in the case of alkaline environment and sensitizing agent. The analyzer detect the change of color, convert and output the NH3-N value. The amount of the generated colored complex is equivalent to the amount of the NH3-N.
This method is suitable for the waste water, containing of NH3-N within 0~500mg/L. The high content of Ca+, Mg+, residual Cl2 or turbidity may interfere with the measurement.
